Nicholas Bustamante, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Nicholas Bustamante brings a strong background in athletics, fitness, and rehabilitation to his role as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Plan Physical Therapy. His interest in physical therapy grew from his own experiences as an athlete and the rehabilitation he received throughout his athletic career. Inspired by the skills and techniques that helped him recover and perform, Nicholas wanted to develop that same knowledge so he could help others heal, move better, and return to the activities they enjoy.

Nicholas takes an individualized approach to patient care, recognizing that every person responds differently to rehabilitation. Rather than relying on a single approach, he incorporates strength training, mobility, stretching, movement patterns, and other techniques based on each patient's needs and goals. His goal is to help patients become stronger, move more efficiently, and develop the confidence to return to the activities that are important to them.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Nicholas's work is seeing patients return to the things they enjoy. Whether it is playing a sport, exercising, spending time with family, or simply being able to perform everyday activities more comfortably, Nicholas finds fulfillment in helping patients regain the abilities they may have thought they had lost.

Nicholas also emphasizes the importance of patient involvement throughout the rehabilitation process. He believes that patients must be actively invested in their recovery and understand the importance of following their treatment plan. He encourages patients to find the balance between doing too much too soon and not doing enough, understanding that consistency and patience are essential to long-term progress.

Outside of Plan Physical Therapy, Nicholas stays active through martial arts and training, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He enjoys spending time with his family, training, and taking advantage of the outdoors during the summer, including jet skiing. Before pursuing a career in physical therapy, Nicholas worked as a diesel technician, giving him a unique background that combines hands-on mechanical experience with his passion for movement, fitness, and rehabilitation.

Nicholas's athletic background, hands-on experience, and commitment to individualized care make him a valuable member of the Plan Physical Therapy team. His passion for helping patients become stronger, more confident, and capable of returning to the activities they love reflects the collaborative and patient-centered approach at Plan PT.
